Current Projects

• Krizia is painting the sign for the coffee cart we hope to be starting soon. It reads "Kids for Coffee" where coffee will be sold to students for a dollar a cup and where other pastries and food items will also be sold. All profits will be donated to the Humble Hearts School.
• Katerina is writing a list for presents that people will be able to buy for the children in Humble Hearts and Angel Cottage. The list includes: shoes, food for one child for a month, a warm blanket, and more.
• Sarah and Marcus are writing a proposal to the staff of Trillium Charter School for the coffee cart.
• Noah is writing his reflection from the last Kenya trip to be posted on the Kids for Kenya website.
• Alex is fabricating giftcards for Angel Cottages and Humble Hearts, which is a way of donating certain products that are needed at the schools.

Expanding our Vision

Kids for Kenya is currently expanding its vision:
-Creating a small sustainable buisiness to support the food program at the Humble Hearts School.
-Developing an annual community fundraising event to create a student exchange program between our schools.
-Writing grants and soliciting corporate donations to raise funds for needed goods and materials that Kids for Kenya will deliver to Humble Hearts School, including clothing, teaching materials, healthcare needs, and construction supplies.

As an overarching educational goal, Kids for Kenya will continue to provide students with the opportunity to travel to and work at Humble Hearts, every second year. In the spirit of service and exchange of learning, Kids for Kenya teacher-leaders will make trips to Nairobi in the interum years.
